FUNAAB/ARCN/DfID/DelPHE-5 Tomato Project is happy to announce the existence of ARCN/DfID/DelPHE-5 Tomato Seeds Centre located within the Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory, College of Plant Science and Crop Production, COLPLANT, FUNAAB. The Centre has seeds of over 150 local and exotic accessions of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill), with various resistance statuses to different disease conditions.

Interested researchers, farmers and commercial producers of tomato are welcome to access the Centre. However, only limited number of seeds per accession will be provided as the norm is for recipients to multiply the seeds themselves before embarking on the research or commercial production. So we advice prospective recipients to build the multiplication stage (3 months) into their research and production schedule.

You may contact the Project Research Assistant – Mr. S. A. Ganiyu, Department of Crop Protection, FUNAAB (GSM: 08136392050; Email:ganiyu.sikiru@yahoo.com) OR the Principal Investigator – Dr. A. R. Popoola, Department of Crop Protection, FUNAAB(Email: popoolaar@funaab.edu.ng).
