Definition of Controlled Breeding (CB), Advantages of CB and Disadvantages. Principles of CB, Separation of sexes, Reproductive cycle, Oestrus synchronization, Oestrus detection, Controlled mating, Artificial insemination, Pregnancy diagnosis. Methods of increasing litter size, Flushing, Superovulation, Anti-steroid immunization, Reproductive performance, Herd and Flock structures, Herd and Flock projections, Intensive sheep and goat production, Livestock recording.
