The terms Wellness and Well-being are often used interchangeably. Both originate from the World Health Organization’s (WHO) 1948 definition of health, which states that health is not merely the absence of disease or infirmity but a state of complete well-being.
Our health and wellness significantly impact our productivity, quality of life, efficiency, and longevity. Several factors can enhance wellness and promote well-being, including:
▪️Embracing a healthy lifestyle.
▪️Regular exercise.
▪️Practicing moderation and appropriateness in eating and drinking habits.
▪️Avoiding drug abuse.
▪️Managing habits such as alcohol intake.
▪️Ensuring adequate rest, recreation, and quality sleep.
▪️Being mindful of one’s body composition.
▪️Considering hereditary factors and genetic makeup.
▪️Assessing job disposition, including sedentary lifestyles and exposure to industrial chemicals.
These factors, among others, will be central to the presentation of Dr. S. O. Olabanji on Wednesday 28th February 2024 (2 – 3pm).
All Staff are warmly invited to participate.
