ETHICS OF EXAMINATION AND INVIGILATION

The webinar, Ethics of Examination and Invigilation will extensively focus on crucial aspects pertaining to the maintenance of integrity in our examination process. It will seek to establish a shared understanding of expectations among stakeholders, ensuring everyone is well-informed about their roles and responsibilities.

This is to ensure that ethical standards are rigorously adhered to by providing clear guidelines for addressing various situations that may arise before, during, or after the forthcoming examination.

Key areas to be discussed include:

▪The significant role of Heads of Departments (HODs) as chief examiners, underscoring the importance of effective leadership in preserving the integrity of the examination process.
▪The rules and regulations applicable to various stakeholders involved in the examination process, including students, invigilators, professors, and TIMTEC members.
▪Specific considerations for invigilation at unique venues such as the Health Centre and E-exam facilities.

Expected Audience: All students and academic staff.
Date: Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
Time: 10-11am.
