The University has appointed eight academic staff as Professors, while another 13 have now been elevated as Readers. The Governing Council, at its 95th Statutory Meeting, approved the promotions with effect from October 1, 2016. The concerned staff are from the College of Food Science and Human Ecology (COLFHEC), College of Plant Science and Crop Production (COLPLANT), College of Engineering (COLENG), College of Animal Science and Livestock Production (COLANIM), College of Environmental Resources Management (COLERM), College of Physical Sciences (COLPHYS), College of Agricultural Management and Rural Development (COLAMRUD), as well as the College of Veterinary Medicine (COLVET).
