CHANGE IN NHIS REGISTRATION PROCESSES

The Acting Director, Health Services, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Dr. Abiodun Amusan has announced a change in the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) registration processes for the Addition of Dependants and change of Health Care Provider (HCR) from manual to online procedure.

CHANGE IN NHIS REGISTRATION PROCESSES
Acting Director, Health Service,
Dr. Abiodun Amusan

According to a release signed by Dr. Amusan, the new process requires staff enrollees to bring a recent passport photograph with white background to the NHIS desk office at the University Health Services and would be required to supply relevant information at the Desk Office.

Thereafter, staff enrollees should expect a notification in their respective e-mail for payment on www.remita.net before proceeding to make payment. The Acting Director disclosed that the  notification expires in seven (7) days, therefore, payment must be made within (7) days of receiving the notification.

He further added that once payment is made, the registration would be automatically processed and reflected on the NHIS account of the enrollee ahead of the release of the next NHIS Registration (before cut-out), stressing that this information is required to prevent staff from going ahead with the former process and payment in error.
