Dulfil Prima Foods (Nig.) Ltd has awarded Nutrition Scholarships, to the tune of N220, 000.00 each, to 12 postgraduate students of the University.
The Company’s Area Marketing Manager, Mr. Timothy Imaye, made the presentation at the 2010 Annual Symposium of the Nutrition Society of Nigeria (NSN), organised by the Ogun State Chapter.
Mr. Imaye, who disclosed that the Scholarship was part of the company’s social responsibility to the community, added that it was also an expression of its commitment to the nutritional development of the Nigerian youth.
According to him, Dufil Prima Foods acknowledges the importance of nutrition to the healthy lifestyle of children and has been in association with the Ogun State Chapter of NSN, since 2007.
The Deans of the College of Food and Human Ecology (COLFHEC) and College of Animal Science and Livestock Production (COLANIM), Professors (Mrs.) Folake Henshaw and Daisy Eruvbetine, respectively, were at hand to present the cheques to the students.
Responding, the awardees appreciated Dufil Prima Foods, the producers of Indomie Noodles for the scholarships, which they said would go a long way in imparting positively on their educational career.
