Prof.
Prof Adedayo Adekunle BADEJO had his B.Sc. M.Sc. and PhD (Water Resources and Environmental Engineering) in Civil Engineering from the University of Ibadan. He began his teaching and research career as Assistant Lecturer at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta in 2005 and rose to the position of Professor (Water Resources and Environmental Engineering) in 2023. Prof Badejo’s area of expertise is Water Resources and Environmental Engineering. His current research is focused on nature-based wastewater treatment techniques, design and construction of non-mechanized treatment plant using locally available macrophytes, determining the assimilative capacity of the receiving water bodies and assessing the spatio-temporal levels of pollution parameters around waste disposal facilities. He is a TUT (Pretoria, South Africa) Fellow and has won two TETFUND and one NWRCBNet grant. He has distinguished himself as a worthy member of the Department of Civil Engineering, College of Engineering and the University. He is the current Dean, College of Engineering; Coordinator, Water Resources Capacity Building Network, Southwest Zone and Resource person for the development of CCMAS for undergraduate programmes and resource verification exercises to various universities by the National Universities Commission. He is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and a COREN registered Engineer with over 60 published articles in reputable national/international journals and refereed conference proceedings in his area of expertise. Prof Badejo is married to Mrs. Oluwatomilayo O. Badejo and they are blessed with children.
