Professor Jayeola Olabisi is a native of Ido-Osun, in Egbedore Local Government Area of Osun State. He attended St Paul Anglican Primary School where he obtained Primary School Leaving Certificate in 1981. He proceeded to Ido-Osun High School, where he obtained West African School Certificate in 1986 and also attended Local Authority Secondary School, Ejigbo, Osun State in 1988. He obtained his B.Sc. Accounting (Second Class Upper Division) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, in 1997; M.Sc. Accounting from University of Lagos; in 2003; M.Phil (Business Administration) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State in 2011; and Ph.D. (Management Accounting) from Babcock University in 2014. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN); Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (ACTI); Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (ANIM); Associate Member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants (ACMA).
Professor Olabisi served with Taraba State Polytechnic, Ukari as a lecturer in 1998. He secured employment with Y. A. Odimayo & Co (Chartered Accountants) Ikeja, Allen-Avenue, Lagos, immediately he came back from service.
Olabisi Jayeola, a Professor of Management Accounting, is one of the pioneer academic staff members of Accounting Department, College of Management Sciences, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta and one of the first professors in same department. He had worked in both private and public sectors of the economy before switching over to the academic environment.
He has occupied different academic positions within the Universities in Nigeria such as Departmental Examination Officer, Head of the Department of Accounting, Deputy Dean of the College and Acting Dean of the College, Admission Committee Member of the University (ADMICO), Member of Curriculum Review Committee of the Department, College and University, member of University Time Table and Examination Committee. Currently, he is the Dean of the College of Entrepreneurial and Development Studies, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.
Professor Olabisi’s area of specialization is Management Accounting and has attended several conferences (both local and international) and published more than eighty (80) articles in learned journals (both local and foreign).
