Ag. Registrar, Mr. Adeleke Adeboye
University staff, especially the non-teaching, have been enjoined to always provide adequate information about their movements, to facilitate appropriate entries in the Attendance Register.
The Acting Registrar, Mr. Adeleke Adeboye, who gave the advice, said it is mandatory for staff, to inform his office through their Departmental or Unit Heads, on their activities, movements and the nature of duties, whenever they are officially absent from work.
In a release, signed by the Ag. Registrar, Mr. Adeboye said the call became necessary, as a result of series of complaints that emanated from the 2010 Attendance Records and Punctuality Scores.
The Acting Registrar noted that bulk of the problems came from the inability of concerned staff and their Heads of Departments/Units to furnish the Registry with adequate information on their official assignments and movements, outside the University Campus.
Staff on shift duties, official field assignments outside the campus and those who cannot utilize their annual leave on approved dates, with due internal arrangement within their respective Departments/Units were equally advised to give adequate information through their HODs/HOUs.
