The Association of Applied Information Management Professionals (AIMP), on February 6, 2025, paid a Courtesy Visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, to foster collaboration and encourage membership in the Association.

The AIMP delegation, led by the Ogun State Coordinator, Mr. Abiodun Rosanwo, met with the Vice-Chancellor and other University officials in the Vice-Chancellor’s Office.

Welcoming the Team, Prof. Kehinde noted that FUNAAB was becoming a hub for AIMP. He encouraged members to utilise the opportunity and invited others to join the Association.

Earlier, Mr. Rosanwo emphasised the importance of collaboration, stating that AIMP has reached the fifth level in digitalisation. He encouraged staff and individuals within and outside the University Community to join the Association, share ideas, and contribute to its growth.

He stated that the mission of AIMP was to professionalise information management, raise administrators with apt knowledge of data processing and management, and train corporate leaders and personnel.

Additionally, he mentioned that the Association’s aims and objectives included serving as a central body of authority for those engaged in Applied Information Management and promoting the development of information management professionals.

Other notable members of the Association in attendance during the visit were Dr. Olutayo Ajayi, FAIMP, Director of Membership, and Mr. Abayomi Agunloye, FAIMP, Registrar of the Association.
