A high-powered delegation from the Alex Ekwueme University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State, has paid a courtesy call on the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba (Dr.) Adedotun Gbadebo, being the Chancellor of the University. The delegation was led by the institution’s Pro-Chancellor, Prof. Nimi Briggs, who used the occasion to introduce the newly-appointed Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Sunday Elom to the Chancellor.

              Accompanying the Pro-Chancellor on the visit was the immediate past Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chinedum Nwaiuba.  The occasion had in attendance other eminent personalities such as the Nobel laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka; Vice-Chancellor of FUNAAB, Prof. Kolawole  Salako; Vice-Chancellor, Chrisland University, Abeokuta; Prof. Chinedum Babalola and FUNAAB’s Registrar, Dr. Bola Adekola. At the event, Prof. Soyinka reminisced on Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, as being a place of attraction for many people from different parts of the country.
