The Alumni Association of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has honoured the exemplary leadership and unwavering dedication of the leadership of FUNAAB Zoo Park.
At a recent momentous event organised by the Association at the Zoo Park and dedicated to celebrating the outgone executives with a special tribute to the former Global President, Dr. Segun Ogundiran, whose visionary leadership revitalised the Association, the current Global President, Mr. Bolaji Gbadamosi highlighted the significant impact of the outgone executives’ contributions. He acknowledged that their efforts laid a strong foundation for the Association’s future and reaffirmed his commitment to advancing the progress initiated.
Mr. Gbadamosi also emphasised the Alumni Association’s dedication to supporting the continued development of the Zoo Park.
In his remarks, Dr. Ogundiran attributed the successes achieved during his tenure to divine guidance and the steadfast support of his executive team.
Highpoint was the presentation of gifts and awards to Dr. Ogundiran and his team, including a tour of the Park.
Distinguished guests at the event included the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Prof. Kola Adebayo, who served as the Chairman of the occasion, alongside Prof. Sammy Sam-Wobo, Director of FUNAAB Zoo Park and a founding member of the Association. Their contributions, along with those of other notable figures such as Prof. Bayo Ayorinde and Prof. Niyi Afolabi, were recognised for their longstanding impact on both the Zoo Park and the Alumni Association.
The event underscored the deep-rooted bond between the Alumni Association and FUNAAB Zoo Park, with a shared commitment to fostering growth in conservation and education.
