ANNOUNCEMENT: FUNAAB–Olowu Hope Initiative Partnership (Digital Inclusion Initiative)

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is pleased to announce a strategic and transformative partnership with the Olowu Hope Initiative (Digital Inclusion Initiative). Through this collaboration, selected staff and students of the University will be granted fully funded access to Coursera, enabling them to enroll in world-class online certification courses at no cost.

The initiative offers learning opportunities in high-impact and future-oriented areas. The curated learning pathways are:

  • Digital literacy and professional development (Basic Computer Skills Programme, AI Career Essentials, Virtual Assistant Programme, etc.)
  • Data, technology, and emerging skills (Data Analyst Programme, Graphics Design Programme, Data Engineering Pathway, etc.)
  • Business, entrepreneurship, and career readiness (Professional Foundations – Soft Skills, Starting Your Business (SME Track), etc.)

Participants will engage in structured, self-paced learning pathways, earn globally recognized certificates, and benefit from institutional support throughout the programme. The initiative is designed to strengthen academic excellence, enhance employability, and promote innovation, thereby bridging the gap between academia and industry.

Application Procedure

Interested and eligible staff and students are required to formally apply through an official memo addressed to:

The memo should clearly state the applicant’s interest, department/unit, and preferred learning pathway relevant to the initiative.

Deadline for submission: Friday, 6th February, 2026
