The rank of Alumni of the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, who graduated with First Class Degrees and are holders of Ph.D Degrees have risen.

The latest entrant is Dr. Busari, Mutiu Abolanle, who was awarded a Ph.D Degree by the University, in February, 2011.

Dr. Busari had initially pursued his Ph.D on Pedology, but  later changed to Soil Physics in 2008, after winning a training Fellowship in Italy on the use of Isotopes in Agriculture.

A Lecturer ll, in the Department of Soil Science and Land Managements, Dr. Busari had his B. Agric (First Class Division) and M.Agric Degrees in 2002 and 2005 respectively from the University.

He won the University’s price for the Best Graduating Student in the College of Plant Science and Crop Production, in 2002.

A Fellow of the Abdul-Salaam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) Trieste, Italy. He was awarded Scholarship by Conference of All Muslim Organizations in Nigeria (CAMON) in 2004 and also won the UNAAB Postgraduate Scholarship in 2003.

His research interests include remediation of degraded soils, improvement of soil physical qualities and application of stable Isotopes in soil studies.
