… Awards VC as Grand Patron

The Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA), Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) Chapter, has successfully hosted its 2024 Annual Celebration and Awards Day. Themed “Administrative Excellence in a Digital Age,” the event was capped with a Grand Patron Award to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde alongside an Appreciation Award to the immediate past Acting Registrar, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Dawodu.
Others awarded were the Deputy Registrar I, Mr. Adewusi Agbotoba and Deputy Registrar I, Senate and Admissions, Dr. Abdussobur Salaam. The celebration was held today, December 10, 2024, at the Red Chamber.
In his Acceptance Speech, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, commended ANUPA for its dedication to excellence and the successful organisation of the event. He expressed gratitude for the honour bestowed on him with the Grand Patron Award of the Association in FUNAAB, stressing the significance of teamwork in creating a harmonious work environment.
Prof. Kehinde reaffirmed his commitment to advancing the University’s mission, even as he encouraged staff to prioritise peaceful conflict resolution to promote institutional progress. According to him, he noted the vital role of administrators in fostering efficiency within the University System.
He, therefore, prayed for continued unity, good health, and greater achievements for the University Community.
Welcoming participants, the Registrar, Dr. Titus Adeniyi, described the annual celebration as an opportunity for ANUPA to uphold its mandate. He urged members to maintain impeccable administrative records and highlighted the importance of leveraging digital tools to enhance productivity. Dr. Adeniyi reassured the Association that the University values and recognises their contributions.
Responding after receiving the Award, the immediate past Acting Registrar, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Dawodu, encouraged Administrators to perform their duties diligently, while noting areas of need within the University. She emphasised the importance of teamwork and challenged members to remain proactive in driving administrative excellence.
Earlier in his Welcome Address, the Chairman, ANUPA-FUNAAB, Mr. Adewale Ojoye, appreciated the Vice-Chancellor and the University Management for their unwavering support. He explained that the Awards were designed to inspire members to strive for excellence, stressing that punctuality and dedication are key to sustaining administrative standards in a digital age.
Present at the event were Deputy Registrars and Principal Assistant Registrars, including other University-wide professional administrative cadres. Others were ANUPA members from Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye and Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ijagun.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kehinde Emoruwa and Mrs. Olufunmilola Sorinmade received the Awards on behalf of Mr. Agbotoba and Dr. Salaam, respectively.
