The impending 57th Birthday of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun, is already being heralded with accolades and warm compliments.

Though as at press time, information are still sketchy as to the form the birthday, which is for 19th October, will take, however, the former Chairman of UNAAB Pensioners, Pastor Abimbola Aboluwarin is already playing the role of a forerunner.

Pastor Aboluwarin, in a 3-Page Goodwill message sent to UNAAB Bulletin, described the upcoming event as deserving of celebration by Prof. Balogun, having impacted immensely on the development of the University since he assumed office.

Pastor Aboluwarin said it will amount to a disservice by members of the University community, particularly, the pensioners, not to duly recognise and appreciate the efforts of Professor Balogun, as a distinguished Vice-Chancellor of the University.

He said the Vice-Chancellor had bettered the lots of pensioners, saying, “specifically, pensioners in UNAAB will never forget him (Prof. Balogun), for all he did for them”.

He observed that “there had been development in UNAAB by the past three Vice-Chancellors and an Acting Vice-Chancellor before Professor O. O. Balogun. However, what we are witnessing in this great University under him is unthought-of, unprecedented and beyond expectation”.

Given his unparalleled achievements, Pastor Aboluwarin prayed God to compensate Professor Balogun, with higher calling, either nationally or at the global level
