The Association of Seed Scientists of Nigeria (ASSN), in collaboration with the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), is set to hold its 10th Annual Conference from Sunday, September 6 to Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
The Four-Day conference, scheduled to take place at the Red Chamber, FUNAAB, would commence daily at 10:00 a.m.
Themed “Smart Seed Technology: Solution to Changing Agricultural Environment,” the conference would provide a platform for Seed Scientists, Researchers, policymakers, farmers and other stakeholders to deliberate on emerging issues and innovations in seed technology and agricultural development.
Key sub-themes would include Seed Policy and Its Multifaceted Impact on Stakeholders; Sustainable Pasture and Agroforestry Management through Improved Seed Systems; Seed Biology, Health, Production, Protection, Preservation and Genetic Improvement; and the Influence of Climate on Seed Quality, among others.
