Brand Optimal, a leading creative and digital agency specialising in experiential marketing, is exploring a strategic partnership with the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) through its proposed Campus Storm Initiative. The initiative is aimed at creating an interactive space where students and staff could experience the latest technological devices while offering students opportunities to serve as brand ambassadors.
Top officials of Brand Optimal, the face of Samsung on Nigerian campuses, met with the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, and other Frontline Officers of the University to discuss the partnership.
Welcoming the Brand Optimal Team, the Vice-Chancellor emphasised FUNAAB’s vast land resources, spanning over 10,000 hectares, and the University’s dedication to collaborations that enhance student learning and professional exposure. He expressed enthusiasm for the initiative and assured the Team of the University’s support in identifying a suitable location, with a site visit to be conducted by the Directorate of Physical Planning.

Speaking on behalf of Brand Optimal, Mr. Kola Kupoluyi, the agency’s Ogun State representative and Samsung’s campus interface, introduced the Campus Storm Initiative as a platform for immersive brand engagement. He explained that the initiative would include a pop-up experience centre where students and staff can explore and purchase the latest tech gadgets. Additionally, he said that 50 students would be selected as brand ambassadors, gaining hands-on marketing experience while earning commissions on device promotions. According to him, top-performing ambassadors would also have the opportunity for internships to boost their career prospects.
Also speaking, the Dean, College of Biosciences (COLBIOS), Prof. Iyabode Kehinde, who facilitated the meeting commended the initiative, describing it as a step towards holistic student development. She also suggested expanding the number of ambassadors and internship opportunities to accommodate more students.
The discussions concluded with an agreement on the next steps, including drafting a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalise the partnership. Both parties expressed optimism about the collaboration’s potential to enrich the learning experience at FUNAAB.
In attendance at the meeting were the Registrar, Dr. Titus Adeniyi; Deputy Dean, Student Affairs, Prof. Oluseyi Ojekunle; DR I, VC’s Office, Mr. Moses Ayanda; Head, Career Services & Linkages Unit (CSLU), Dr. Matthew Oose; Dr. Ariom Thaddeus and Mrs. Peace Okoye of Brand Optimal.
