The Budding Leaders Empowerment Initiative (BudLein), a Non-Profit Organisation, is gearing up to host this year’s World Book Day at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB).
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 30, 2024, starting at 10:00 a.m. at the 1,000-Seater Auditorium.
A statement released by the Executive Director representing the Board of Trustees, Prof. Iyabode Kehinde highlighted BudLein’s mission to nurture young leaders.
According to her, the organisation aims to equip them with the skills, abilities, and experiences necessary to positively impact their world.
Under the theme “Read Your Way,” this year’s programme emphasises the power of reading.
BudLein has extended invitations to 50 schools, with five representatives from each primary, junior, and senior secondary schools, to participate in various competitions.
Additionally, the organisation would collaborate with the Nimbe Adedipe Library and the FUNAAB Zoopark for the event.
Participants would enjoy a tour of the Library and have fun exploring the FUNAAB Zoopark.
