A delegation from the Consulate General of Burkina Faso in Lagos recently visited the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) to explore potential areas of partnership.
The visitors who were led by Mr. Souglimpo Jean Hugues Ouoba, Conseiller of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Adama Ouedraogo, the Accountant of the Consulate were received by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi and the Registrar, Dr. Titus Adeniyi, on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde.
They embarked on a fact-finding mission to assess possibilities for mutually beneficial collaborations. Discussions centred on exchange programmes for students and tailored short-course modules designed to enhance the capacity of public sector workers in Burkina Faso.
The delegation expressed optimism about the prospects of working with FUNAAB, noting the University’s reputation for academic excellence and innovation in agricultural development. Plans were underway for a follow-up visit to solidify a strategic partnership that promises to yield substantial benefits for both parties.
