The call
All Academic and non-Teaching Staff are hereby invited to compete for the 2013 Conference Attendance Grants.

Purpose
The Grant will support the Staff of the University who want to attend Overseas Meetings/Conferences/Workshops of short duration, in areas that is relevant to their employment.

Condition
While application does not guarantee approval, applicants will be expected to agree with the final decision of the University Staff Development Committee who is administering the grant.

Applicants must ensure that the Conferences will be coming up about six months to the time of application (i.e. August – December, 2014). Priority will be given to staff with acceptable letter of invitation and conferences that is of direct relevance to the area of competence of the applicant. Staff who did not enjoy or benefit from the grant in 2012 will be given preference.

Method of Application
Applicant seeking TETFund grant for Conference Attendance shall fill a prescribed form and provide the following documents:

  1. Letter of Invitation
  2. Letter of acceptance and Abstract of paper to be presented (if any)
  3. Conference Announcement indicating the following:

The application should be forwarded to the Director, CENIP not later than twenty (20) working days from the date of this memo (i.e Friday, February 14, 2014).
