The Chairperson of the Ceremonials Committee (CERECOM), Prof. Temitope Ajadi, marked her golden jubilee in a grand celebration, today, April 1, 2025, at the Wenby’s Suites, Ibara Housing Estate, Abeokuta.
The event was graced by dignitaries, colleagues, and well-wishers, with the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, delivering a heartfelt Goodwill Message. Describing Prof. Ajadi as a jovial, hardworking, and friendly individual, he noted her invaluable contributions to FUNAAB, saying that her appointment as Chairperson of CERECOM was well-deserved, citing her prior leadership experience as the Chairperson of the Ceremonials Committee at the College of Veterinary Medicine (COLVET) before her elevation to the University-wide role.
Beyond her professional excellence, Prof. Kehinde highlighted her forthrightness, simplicity, and truthfulness, qualities that have endeared her to many. He encouraged her to continue growing in character and faith and wished her many more milestones in the years ahead.
In his brief sermon, the Senior Pastor and Founder of Rock Foundation Church, Ogun State, Rev. Tunde Amosun, lauded the celebrant, admonshing her to deepen her relationship with God. Using a metaphor, he likened her to a battery that needs to be recharged for continued effectiveness, praying for her well-being and strength.
The celebration attracted notable personalities, including the former Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Morenike Dipeolu, and her husband, former Dean of the College of Agricultural Management and Rural Development (COLAMRUD), Prof. Adewale Dipeolu.
Also in attendance were Reverend (Mrs.) Kemi Amosun, wife of the Senior Pastor of Rock Foundation Church; the Dean of the College of Biosciences (COLBIOS), Prof. Iyabode Kehinde; the Director of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH), Prof. Olugbenga Kehinde; and the former Dean of COLVET, Prof. Adebayo Akinloye, as well as members of academia, including several of Prof. Ajadi’s classmates from the University of Ibadan. Others were her immediate family members and her mother, Alhaja Aladesawe who also joined the festivities.
The event was filled with heartfelt tributes and joyous moments, underscoring the profound impact Prof. Ajadi has made within and beyond the University Community.
