The Chinese Consul General (CG), Ms. Yan Yuqing, has commended the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) for its remarkable contributions to Nigeria’s academic and agricultural development. She pledged to strengthen FUNAAB’s connections with international academic communities and expressed her intention to visit the University next year to deliver a Public Lecture.
Ms. Yuqing made these remarks during a meeting held on December 3, 2024, in Lagos with officials from FUNAAB and the Weifang Vocational College, China.
Speaking on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi, expressed gratitude to the CG for her unwavering support for FUNAAB. He acknowledged her instrumental role in fostering the University’s partnership with Weifang Vocational College and assured her of FUNAAB’s commitment to upholding the trust and confidence she has placed in the University.
