COURSE SYNOPSIS
Introduction to separation techniques. Principles of Chromatography: Column efficiency. Resolution and band spreading. Classical liquid Chromatography HPLC, ion exchange, Gel permeation and gas liquid chromatography. Solvent extraction including counter distribution and Electrophoresis. Mechanism of separation. Paper and thin layer chromatography. Column chromatography.
