The establishment of the Community-Based Farming Scheme (COBFAS), by the Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun-led administration has been lauded as being a good initiative.

The commendation came from the Director of COBFAS, Professor Felix Salako, in a chat with UNAAB Bulletin, during the transportation exercise of the second batch of COBFAS students to Ode-Lemo, Ogun State, recently.

Professor Salako said the initiative of the Vice-Chancellor should be embraced by well-meaning Nigerians, particularly corporate bodies as well as government at all levels, whom he charged to assist the University financially in sustaining the set goals and objectives of the scheme.

Corroborating Professor Salako, the Dean, Student Affairs, Professor Samuel  Oluwalana, gave  kudos to the Vice-Chancellor for the laudable initiative of the Scheme, saying it was a welcome development.

The Dean admonished students to take advantage of the scheme and plough-back the knowledge gained to both the University and the society in general.

A cross section of students, who spoke with UNAAB Bulletin, extolled the virtues of the Vice-Chancellor and his team for establishing the scheme and called for its sustenance.
