In a decisive victory, Prof. Emmanuel Fakoya has been re-elected as the Dean, College of Agricultural Management and Rural Development (COLAMRUD) for another term of three years.

The election unfolded on January 18, 2024, at the College’s Conference Room.

Prior to the polls, the College Officer, Mrs. Uduak Akpan highlighted the significance of the exercise, emphasising its recurrence every three years to select a new Dean responsible for overseeing the College affairs.

Prof. Fakoya, who secured an impressive total of 43 votes unopposed, expressed gratitude to all staff members and credited God for the peaceful conduct of the election.

He extended his appreciation to the COLAMRUD College Board, acknowledging their pivotal role in his success, stating that without them, “this victory would not be possible.”

Pledging to collaborate for the common goals of each Department within the College, Prof. Fakoya assured that his second term would witness substantial progress.

He conveyed his optimism for a promising future, promising to steer the College towards unprecedented growth and development.

In a moment of reflection, Prof. Fakoya offered prayers for the well-being of all the staff members of the College.

Meanwhile, the staff of the College collectively stressed that his victory was based on satisfactory performance over the last three years.
