The Dean, College of Plant Science and Crop Production (COLPLANT), Prof. Bolarinwa Senjobi, on May 15, 2025, led a delegation of senior Academic and Non-Teaching staff in the College on a courtesy and congratulatory visit to Prof. Jonathan Atungwu, the newly appointed Provost of the Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan (FCAI).
Prof. Atungwu, who served as the immediate past Dean of COLPLANT, received his former colleagues with warmth and gratitude, as the visit reflected the deep institutional and personal bonds that existed between FUNAAB and FCAI.
Prof. Senjobi, while congratulating Prof. Atungwu on his new role, expressed confidence in his ability to transform FCAI and foster productive collaborations between both institutions. He also lauded Prof. Atungwu’s legacy of impactful leadership at COLPLANT, which has continued to inspire the College’s direction.
The FCAI management team, including Dr. Abimbade Abass (Registrar), Dr. Bukola Fato (Deputy Provost, Academics), Engr. Dr. Adejumo (Deputy Provost, Administration), Mrs. Theresa Adeoye (Bursar), and Mr. Olubisi (Public Relations Officer), were on hand to receive the visitors and extended appreciation for the show of solidarity and goodwill.
The COLPLANT delegation comprised notable members such as Prof. Patience Olorunmaiye (Deputy Dean), Prof. Hammad Lateef (HoD, Horticulture), Prof. Jamiu Azeez (HoD, SSLM), Prof. Thomas Fabunmi, Dr. Olufemi Osinuga, Mrs. Victoria Adelowo and Mr. Taofeek Kazeem, among others.
