COURSE SYNOPSIS:
Nematodes as agents for environmental monitoring. Principles and methods of Nematode control and management including integrated management strategies and biological control. Resistance, tolerance, susceptibility and hypersusceptibility of host plants. Practicals: Free-living, plant-parasitic and Nematophagous Nematodes in the soil and their ration of Distribution. Simple experiment to demonstrate the effect of nematodes on selected arable crops in groups.
