Abstract:
Electrical energy utilization for both domestic and industrial use is usually in alternating current ( AC) form. This necessitates the conversion of power from renewable energy generators such as Photovoltaic, Wind generator etc, which generates direct current (or DC) to A.C. This paper intends to introduce new terminology such as:
Source and Drain Integration, Low and High Level Interconnection in Grid connected inverter principle. The concluding flow chat was based on different types Grid tie inverters previously designed and constructed. Illustration of how it is expected to relate with the grid and other types of energy conversion system especially renewable were enumerated. Characteristic of good inverter system distinguished by waveform and power requirement employing economy of scale was presented in form of transistor couple inverter, transistor or thyristor transformer coupled inverter system and thyristor bridge inverter system.
