The above-named project is organizing a training workshop as part of its activities.

DelPHE 5 is a DfID-funded project. It is a bilateral South-South cooperation involving UNAAB and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST, Kumasi, Ghana. UNAAB is the lead partner. The fund is managed by the British Council.

Theme of the workshop: MOLECULAR SCREENING OF TOMATOES FOR RESISTANCE TO WILT PATHOGENS

Date: 18 July – 22 July, 2011

Venue: Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory in the College of Plant Science and Crop Production and the Biotechnology Centre, UNAAB.

Participants are expected from Research Institutes, Universities and Agricultural Development Programmes (ADPs) in Nigeria and Ghana.

The training is both Theoretical and Practical.

Participants are expected to disseminate the skills acquired to other Scientists and Researchers in their establishments.
