Director Donates Battery-Driven Grass Cutters to the Zoo Park

The FUNAAB Zoo Park has received a significant boost to its maintenance capabilities, thanks to the generous donation of two state-of-the-art battery-driven Grass Cutters by its Director, Prof. Sammy Sam-Wobo. The equipment, valued at N200,000, was presented today, November 27, 2024, as part of the Director’s ongoing efforts to enhance the Park’s aesthetics and sustainability.

The Chief Zoo Curator, Mr. Ndubuisi Emmanuel, received the equipment on behalf of the Zoo Park during a brief handover ceremony. In his remarks, he expressed gratitude for Prof. Sam-Wobo’s continuous support and dedication to the park’s growth.

“These Grass Cutters will greatly improve our ability to maintain the Park’s vibrant landscapes, ensuring an enjoyable environment for visitors,” Mr Emmanuel stated. “Prof. Sam-Wobo’s generosity and vision are truly commendable, and we deeply appreciate his unwavering commitment to the Zoo Park’s mission.”

Prof. Sam-Wobo, known for his forward-thinking leadership, stressed the importance of maintaining a clean and visually appealing environment. His donation reflects his passion for environmental conservation and his determination to position the FUNAAB Zoo Park as a model zoological and conservation centre in Nigeria.
