The Directorate of Technologists and Technical Staff (DITTECS) of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is set to host the 3rd edition of World Laboratory Day Celebration on Thursday, April 23, 2026.

Scheduled to take place at the Postgraduate School Auditorium at 10:00 a.m., the event is themed “AI in Research: Tools and Practical Use.” It is organised to promote innovation and strengthen professional development in laboratory science.

The programme would bring together Technologists, Technical staff, and members of the University Community to critically examine the growing relevance of Artificial Intelligence in contemporary research. Participants are expected to gain practical knowledge of emerging AI tools and their application within laboratory and research settings.

The initiative noted DITTECS’ commitment to capacity building, knowledge sharing, and the adoption of global best practices in laboratory operations. It is also aimed at enhancing research efficiency through the integration of modern technological solutions.
