The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Eleshin Farms Ltd, Alhaji Adebayo Muideen Allinson, has donated a 1000-bird Poultry Experimental House to the University.
Handing-over the building to the Teaching and Research Farm Directorate (TREFAD), Alhaji Allinson said the donation was his contribution to Poultry Science in the University.
The CEO appreciated the University for the opportunity given him, to contribute to the development of the University, expressing his passion for community service as an avenue to serve humanity and also please God.
Earlier in his Remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun, lauded Alhaji Allinson, for his donation to the university, despite the critical economic situation in the country and that the building would be devoted to research.
The Vice-Chancellor disclosed that Alhaji Allinson, whose son graduated from the University, for his Bachelor and Master’s programmes and currently pursuing his Ph. D, has immortalized his name in the annals of the University.
According to him, “when record is being taken for those who contributed in one way or the other to the lives of Nigerians, to the enhancement of agricultural development in the country, the name of Alhaji Allinson will not be missing in our book”.
The Vice-Chancellor also commended the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development) Professor Segun Lagoke for the new face of the University’s Industrial Park, the Farm and fisheries.
