Peter Aniwe Dele is a Lecturer in the Department of Pasture and Range Management (PRM), College of Animal Science and Livestock Production (COLANIM), Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB). He is a Forage Scientist with strong affinity for Pasture Production, Conservation and Utilization, experienced in Pasture Research Methodologies, Data Analyses and Presentation.
He graduated from University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria in 2003 in the Department of Animal Production and Health, he bagged his Master of Agriculture and Doctor of Philosophy in Pasture and Range Management in the years 2008 and 2012 respectively.
He joined the service of FUNAAB in 2013 as a Lecturer II. Over the years in FUNAAB, Dr Dele has been carrying out research activities, supervising and training both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
He won a TWAS-CAS PG fellowship in the year 2010 which was tenable at the Institute of Institute of Subtropical Agriculture, Changsha city, Hunan Province, China, May-November, 2011 and TWAS-DFG Cooperation Visits Programme for scientists from sub-Saharan Africa tenable at the Christian-Albrechts-University, Kiel, Germany, August-October, 2014
His research interest include Organic Pasture Production, developing a low cost pasture based integrated farming system, evaluation of maize forage yield and quality, feedlot vs Pasture-lot systems, grazing systems, characterization of forage crops and phytoremediation using forage crops.
Dr. Dele Peter A. is a member of Nigerian Society for Animal Production, Registered Animal Scientist (RAS/00573), Society for Grassland Research and Development in Nigeria and Grassland Society of Southern Africa.
