The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olusola Bandele Oyewole has approved the appointment of Dr. T. M. Salisu as the Pioneer Head of the newly created Office of Advancement (OFA), Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.

Dr. Salisu’s appointment was contained in a release marked reference FUNAAB/R/ESTAB.82/I dated January 7, 2013, signed by the Registrar, Mr. M. O. Ayoola, JP and made available to FUNAAB Bulletin.

According to the statement, the appointment is for a period of one (1) year with effect from January 2, 2013 and it is in recognition of Dr. Salisu’s “capability to give quality leadership to the office and make positive contributions to the overall development of the University”.

It would be recalled that Dr. Salisu served the University as Pioneer University Librarian and former Director of Institute for Human Resources Development (INHURD).

It was during his Directorship of INHURD that the Institute moved from Isale Igbein mini campus to its permanent site at Mawuko.
