Members of staff in the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Development (DVCD), on Thursday, July 17, 2025, held a special in-house Appreciation Meeting in honour of Professor Mufutau Olaoye Atayese, the immediate past Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), who recently assumed duty as the pioneer Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture and Development Studies, Iragbiji, Osun State.
The event provided a warm and reflective moment for staff to celebrate Prof. Atayese’s remarkable leadership, commitment, and contributions to the development of the University.
In a series of heartfelt tributes, members of the team shared fond memories and extolled his visionary leadership and humane approach to administration.
In his response, Prof. Atayese expressed deep gratitude for the kind gesture, promising to continue flying the flag of FUNAAB with pride as a worthy ambassador.
The event underscored the University’s culture of appreciation and the enduring bonds of collegiality within the system.
Present at the meeting were the former Ag. Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ololade Enikuomehin; wife of the immediate past DVC, Development, Dr. Adijat Atayese, and others from within the University.
