… FUNAAB Amir, Chief Imam Charge Ummah’s, Others
The Amir of the University’s Muslim Community, Prof. Lateef Sanni has charged fellow Muslims and the entire members of the University Community to be obedient to the institution’s constituted authority and others in general.
The Amir gave the charge even as the Chief Imam of the University Muslim Community, Prof. Idris Ayinde admonished Ummah’s to shun arrogance, rancour and acrimony on Campus and anywhere but to be humble and submissive like the rams that they slaughtered for the celebration of Sallah.
The duo spoke at the special thanksgiving and prayer marking this year’s Eid-El-Kabir celebration, held at the University’s Mosque on Tuesday.
Fielding questions from FUNAAB Bulletin in an exclusive chat, the Amir said obedience to the University’s constituted
authority is not optional but compulsory because it is Allah’s injunction to everybody.
Prof. Sanni therefore admonished members of the Muslim Community and the University at large to be obedient to Allah and the institutions constituted authority, in particular.
The Amir further enjoined fellow Muslims and the entire University Community to allow peace to reign on campus and strive to always put in their best to enhance service delivery.
Earlier in his Sallah’s message to worshippers, the Chief Imam, Prof. Ayinde charged Ummah’s to shun arrogance, rancour and acrimony because they are not attributes of a good Muslim.
The Chief Imam enjoined Muslims to be as humble and submissive as the rams that they will slaughter which will surrender to them.
He stated that the animals are stronger than them but for Allah that overpowered them and subjected them to man’s slaughtering.
He admonished Muslims to take a cue from the submission of Rams and other animals slaughtered by submitting to the will of Allah which is to keep His commandments.
The Chief Imam prayed for unity, peace, progress and development of the University, the leadership and the entire members of the Community.
