Staff and students of the Department of Aquaculture and Fisheries Management of the University’s College of Environmental Resources Management (COLERM), were extremely delighted at the prospect of witnessing the maiden presentation of Inaugural Lecture by the Department. Providence smiled on the Department last Wednesday, when Samuel Oluwatowoloju Otubusin, a professor of Aquaculture and Fisheries Management delivered the University’s 32nd Inaugural Lecture of the University, titled Water, Water, Water Everywhere … An Enigma. Incidentally, Otubusin is the UNAAB’s first Professor of Aquaculture and Fisheries, according to the Dean of COLERM, Professor Toyin Arowolo. Reacting to the development, Professor Arowolo said ”we are delighted, this is the first time the University Inaugural Lecture is coming from the Department of Aquaculture and Fisheries. For one, the Inaugural Lecturer, Prof. Otubusin, is the University’s first Professor of Aquaculture and Fisheries Management”. Prof. Arowolo thanked the Management and Senate, for giving the Department the opportunity to deliver the Inaugural Lecture. |
