DVC, Development Completes Tenure

… Hands Over to Prof. Atayese

In the wake of a Special Meeting of the Governing Council, the outgoing Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Development, Prof. Kola Adebayo, has officially handed over the reins of office to his successor, Prof. Mufutau Atayese.

Prof. Adebayo, whose tenure formally ends at midnight today, May 1, 2025, expressed gratitude to the Governing Council, University Management, staff, and stakeholders for their unwavering support throughout his term. He also extended his best wishes to Prof. Atayese as he steps into the role.

Prof. Atayese’s appointment, which takes effect from May 2, 2025, follows the ratification of Council to ensure a seamless transition in the DVCD’s Office as the University continues to pursue strategic goals in infrastructure, partnerships, and capacity expansion.
