The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared December 27 and 28 as public holidays to mark the Christmas and Boxing Day, while January 3, 2011 will also be work-free for the New Year.

The declaration was contained in a statement by the Assistant Director (Press), to the Minister of Interior, Ogaziechi Theodore, in Abuja last Friday.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun, has therefore wished all community members a blissful Yuletide, praying that the blessing of the occasion will make a big impact in their life. He equally wished them a prosperous New Year ahead.
