The Federal Government has declared Monday, January 2, 2012 as public holiday, to commemorate the New Year.
A statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Alh. Sheidu Ozigis informed that the Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro made the declaration on behalf of the President.
It will be recalled that Monday, December 26 and Tuesday, December 27, were declared as public holidays, to celebrate the Christmas and Boxing Day.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun, has therefore wished the University Community members a prosperous and rewarding New Year.
