In a strategic move to enhance collaboration and foster new partnership opportunities, Aeroconsult, a leading aviation technical consultancy firm in Nigeria, has reiterated its commitment to working with the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB). Known for its expertise in operations, engineering, and management consulting for the aviation and allied industries, Aeroconsult recently organised a One-Day Online Training Programme at the University.
Titled “Classroom Management Strategies for Effective Instruction for its Ground Instructors,” it was aimed at equipping participants with advanced skills in planning, delivering, and evaluating aviation courses.
The Training which was coordinated by Mr. Oluwatoyin Akinola of the FUNAAB’s International Centre for Professional Development (FUNAAB-ICPD), focused on addressing the unique learning needs of adults and was facilitated by seasoned academics, including Prof. Helen Bodunde, Prof. Comfort Onifade, Prof. Bosede Sotiloye, and Dr. Tope Olaifa.
In his Opening Remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Prof. Kola Adebayo, highlighted the importance of such collaborative efforts in advancing professional development and knowledge dissemination in the aviation sector.
Meanwhile, after the training participants had mastered key concepts, including the fundamentals of learning, principles of adult training, course design, effective communication, and evaluation techniques. These skills are expected to enhance their performance as Aviation Ground Instructors, ultimately improving training standards in the industry.
