The Institute of Food Security, Environmental Resources and Agricultural Research (IFSERAR) of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), in collaboration with the African Climate Research for Development (AFCR4D), is set to host its maiden International Conference on Climate-Smart Agriculture.
According to a memo signed by the Director of IFSERAR, Prof. Olusegun Idowu, the conference, themed “Advancing Climate-Smart Innovation for a Resilient and Productive Agriculture in the Third World,” has been scheduled to take place from December 8 to 12, 2025, with daily sessions beginning at 10:00 a.m.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, would serve as the Chief Host, while the conference would feature an array of distinguished scholars and industry leaders as Keynote Speakers, including Prof. Demola Braimoh, Prof. Charles Anosike, Prof. Olusegun Osinowo, Dr. Kashifu Abdullahi, and Dr. Adetunji Oredipe, among others.
The international gathering is expected to provide a robust platform for sharing cutting-edge research findings, fostering collaboration among researchers and policymakers, as well as exploring innovative frameworks to advance climate-smart agricultural transformation across developing nations.
