The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has announced that the Matriculation Ceremony for the 2025/2026 Academic Session, alongside the 13th Commencement Lecture, would hold on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the Professor Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building.
According to a circular signed by the Deputy Registrar I, Senate and Admissions, Dr. Abdussobur Salaam, on behalf of the Registrar, Dr. Titus Adeniyi, the event would commence promptly at 10:00 a.m., and all matriculating students are expected to be seated by 9:30 a.m. as entrances to the venue would be blocked once the Vice-Chancellor’s Procession begins.
The Registrar stated that, in accordance with University regulations, all matriculating students are required to appear in academic gowns and caps, which can be collected from their respective Colleges from Monday, November 17, 2025. He emphasised that the gowns and caps must be returned not later than Monday, November 24, 2025, by 12 noon, noting that failure to return them as scheduled will attract a fine of ₦20,000, while loss of either the gown or cap will incur a replacement fee of ₦45,000.
The statement further directed matriculants to present and submit a photocopy of evidence of payment of school fees for the session at their College Office before collecting the gowns and caps.
The Registrar also reminded all matriculating students that matriculation is incomplete without signing the Matriculation Oath online, stressing that failure to do so implies that the affected individual is not a bonafide student of FUNAAB.
