The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has commenced the Second Semester Examinations for the 2025/2026 Academic Session under its Part-Time Degree Programme.

The examinations, which began on Monday, June 29, 2026, for weekday students, would run until Friday, July 10, 2026, while weekend students would write their examinations from Friday, July 3, to Sunday, July 19, 2026.

According to the Coordinator of the Part-Time Degree Programme, Dr. Enovwo Odjegba, the examinations are being conducted daily between 9:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Weekday examinations are held at JAO3, while weekend examinations would take place at the Mahmood Yakubu Lecture Theatre.

Dr. Odjegba disclosed that adequate arrangements had been put in place to ensure the smooth, orderly, and hitch-free conduct of the examinations, noting that the exercise had so far progressed peacefully across the examination centres.

As part of Management’s oversight responsibilities, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Olusegun Idowu, visited the examination venue to monitor the commencement of the exercise. He expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the examinations and commended the Programme Coordinator and members of staff for their dedication to ensuring a successful take-off.

Prof. Idowu observed that coordinating examinations for Part-Time students required extensive logistical, security, and administrative planning. He described the seamless commencement of the examinations as a reflection of the University’s unwavering commitment to quality assurance, academic excellence, and institutional integrity.

Addressing the students during the visit, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor congratulated them on reaching a significant stage of the academic session. He acknowledged the resilience, discipline, and sacrifices required to balance academic pursuits with work and family responsibilities, urging them to remain focused, calm, and confident throughout the examination period.

He reiterated that examinations remain a vital component of the University’s quality assurance framework, stressing that the Part-Time Degree Programme is guided by the same academic standards, credibility, and rigour as the Full-Time programme. Prof. Idowu reaffirmed Management’s commitment to providing a conducive environment for teaching, learning, and assessment, assuring students that the University would continue to strengthen its systems to ensure that FUNAAB certificates remain symbols of excellence, competence, and global relevance.
