In a concerted effort to nurture job-ready graduates aligned with the University’s vision, the Career Services and Linkages Unit (CSLU) of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), in collaboration with DOIT Services NG, Jobberman, and the MasterCard Foundation, have launched a week-long Employability Skills Training for final year students.
The training, which kicked off today, April 7, 2025, and runs through April 11, 2025, was themed “Young Africa Works.” It was designed to equip students with essential soft and digital skills needed to thrive in an increasingly competitive job market.
Participants were taken through hands-on sessions on Curriculum Vitae (CV) writing, Interview Techniques, Personal Branding, Workplace Ethics, and Digital Skill Acquisition.
The Young Africa Works initiative formed part of a larger intervention by the MasterCard Foundation to tackle youth unemployment by empowering young Africans with practical competencies and pathways to meaningful employment.
