Celebrating the milestone, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi, hosted the victorious Team and commended them for their creativity, resilience, and excellent representation of the University on a national platform.

Prof. Akinyemi appreciated the students for upholding FUNAAB’s tradition of excellence, stating that their performance reflected the University’s strategic commitment to grooming solution-oriented graduates with strong entrepreneurial and innovative capacities. He also reiterated that the University’s recent national recognition for advancing students’ employability was a testament to its enduring focus on practical and transformative education.
The Enactus FUNAAB Team, made up of students from diverse Departments, presented two impactful projects at the competition, that were Apem Souppreme, a nutrient-rich soup mix designed to reduce post-harvest losses and combat malnutrition. The other was the EcoCell, a green battery solution leveraging recycling and value-chain enhancement for sustainable energy.
The Team advanced to the top four in the battery innovation category and reached the opening round in the food innovation track, affirming their status as one of the leading student innovation teams in Nigeria.

Speaking on behalf of the Team, Miss Temitope Adewole, a recent graduate of the Department of Entrepreneurial Studies and Team Lead, expressed deep gratitude to the University Management for its unwavering support, including logistics and accommodation, which enabled their successful participation. She noted that the competition served as a launchpad for further entrepreneurial pursuit, igniting the Team’s drive for innovation and social impact.
To mark the occasion, certificates of participation were presented to all Team members, while a commemorative plaque was awarded to the University in recognition of its support and contribution to the 2025 Enactus Nigeria National Competition.
Also in attendance were
