FUNAAB Enterprises emanated from the then Industrial Park Unit which is one of the developmental groups under the headship of the then Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development) Professor. F. K. Salako. FUNAAB Industrial Park was established on 12th November, 2009, with transfer of assets especially processing factories namely: Bakery, Palm-Wine Bottling Factory, Garri and deodorized Fufu Flour Factory, Palm Oil Packaging, Apiary and Cashew Factory, from former UNAAB Consult Ltd (UCL). Presently, with the new administration of the Vice–Chancellor Prof. F.K. Salako, the Directorate has been functioning as Enterprises as follows: FUNAAB Bakery, FUNAAB Drinks, FUNAAB Honey, FUNAAB Roots & Tubers.
ACTIVITIES
Since inception to date, the activities of the Units centred on:-
- Generation of extra Governmental earnings through processing and marketing of food products.
- Employment and extension of owned facilities for purpose of research and training.
- Image making/value addition and public relation for the University by way of presenting and exhibiting manufactured products in fairs, conferences, meeting etc.
