In a strategic move to enhance the employability of its final-year students, the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has strengthened its partnership with DOIT Services, in collaboration with Jobberman and the MasterCard Foundation, to facilitate a comprehensive career-readiness training programme. Previously exclusive to female students, the initiative has now been expanded to accommodate 4,500 final-year students, ensuring broader access to invaluable career development resources.

A high-level meeting at the Vice-Chancellor’s Office on April 2, 2025, set the stage for this year’s programme. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, lauded the commitment of the DOIT Services team, acknowledging the positive impact of last year’s training on female students. He emphasised FUNAAB’s unwavering dedication to preparing students for the evolving job market and encouraged maximum participation from the final-year cohort.

Speaking on behalf of DOIT Services, the Managing Partner, Mr. Oluwatobi Awaye, introduced his team, comprising senior programme managers, HR specialists, and a content expert. He underscored the importance of exposing young professionals to real-world career dynamics and reiterated the organisation’s commitment to training more students across 19 sessions. He further expressed gratitude for the opportunity to continue impacting FUNAAB students, pledging to surpass the success of the previous edition.

Earlier in his introductory speech, Dr. Matthew Ose, Head of the Career Services and Linkages Unit (CSLU), stated that the training was aimed at equipping students with practical knowledge and critical employability skills essential for career advancement.

A highlight of the meeting was the presentation of memorabilia from DOIT Services to the Vice-Chancellor in recognition of the fruitful collaboration and past training successes.

Meanwhile, the University Management has urged all final-year students to seize the opportunity by registering for the upcoming 5-Day training via this link: https://bit.ly/DOITYAW25FUNAABREG.
